Meet the architect

ABOUT MARK

Too often, the leaders who look like they “have it all” wake up each night in a cold sweat. They’re plagued by anxiety, depression, and thoughts of suicide—all while needing to inspire confidence in shareholders, break new ground in business, and keep chasing after success.

For unaligned executives, exiting a company can create a time of deep crisis. The cracks they hid under their executive masks can no longer be hidden after the pursuit of success ends or changes. They’re left with all the difficulties and imperfections they ran from in the first place.

Mark Fujiwara views these “cracks” with a kintsugi-inspired approach, drawing on the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. For Mark, these breaking points can become sites of strengths when leaders pursue real inner work, find and lead with peace, and uncover their ikigai—their highest purpose.

Mark Fujiwara is a Modern Samurai, transformation architect, keynote speaker, and conscious wealth advisor who helps ultra-high-net-worth leaders transform their lives. He has spoken at The Oxford Union and delivered keynotes at The REAL Mental Health Foundation Summit in London. With over two decades of experience in wealth management, and after a powerful personal journey with his own mental health, Mark is changing the conversation around mental wellbeing for high-achieving executives.

He’s the founder and CEO of Sanctuary 88, an invitation-only program curating transformative experiences for ultra-high-net-worth leaders. Mark also delivers comprehensive family office advisory services for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family offices; serves as an Executive Ambassador for The REAL Mental Health Foundation;serves as one of three Executive Ambassadors globally for The REAL Mental Health Foundation; holds a board seat with The Good Life Movement advocating for mental health as a civil right, and is the author of Beyond the Hustle: Conquering Mental Health Challenges in Entrepreneurship.

Through wealth architecture, curated transformation experiences, personal writings, and speaking engagements, Mark guides leaders toward their purpose, helping them address mental health challenges and find joy, presence, and alignment

Speaking

Mark Fujiwara has delivered keynotes on stages including The Oxford Union and at SPEAK in New York.

Mark Fujiwara’s talks combine deep honesty, Japanese principles, and mental health advocacy. With a dynamic and spiritual approach to wealth, leadership, and happiness, Mark inspires deep change in audiences.

His work destigmatizes mental health, drawing on his experiences with loss, depression, and thoughts of suicide. Mark’s vulnerability creates a bridge, carrying audiences from silence and isolation to openness and life-changing ideas.

Mark's signature keynote, 'The Five Japanese Values,' takes audiences through the transformational arc from Wabi-Sabi (embracing imperfection) to Ikigai (highest purpose). His talk on the '20 Modalities'—the practices that brought him back from planning his own suicide—has moved audiences from silence to breakthrough

TRANSFORMATION FACILITATION

Mark Fujiwara works closely with clients through the Harada Method—a Japanese goal-setting system used by Shohei Ohtani's high school coach—to help them put down their masks, get in touch with their pain, map their 64-task path to their one-year goal, and reach Ichigo Ichie, a state of being entirely and intentionally present.

Mark's guidance integrates emotional excavation with practitioners like Dr. Stelios Nicolakis, physical optimization through the Modern Samurai Way (sprint training, cold plunges, intermittent fasting), and wealth alignment through conscious capital deployment.

Mark guides and transforms leaders who are struggling with their mental health; preparing for executive exits that lead to greater alignment; or seeking to redefine their views of wealth, success, and presence. His style is based in authenticity, relationship building, and supporting mental wellbeing.
